Should You Be a Team Beachbody Coach?

October 28th 2011

I get so many questions from people. What is a Beachbody coach? What does that mean? Do I have to coach people? Should I be a coach even when I’m overweight? How can I coach people when I don’t know anything about fitness? I’m not like you. I’m not motivated.

To me there are several different types of coaches.

Discount coaches: These coaches are strictly in it for the 25% cost savings. They have zero interest in sharing it with others or growing it as a business. Even if someone asks them about Beachbody they would still refer them to Beachbody.com and not take the commission. This type of coach is fine. As long as you know your full opportunity available and still don’t want it then that is okay. The sad part is if someone has no idea they can do more and just accept a discount. But most of the coaches on my team know the opportunity available to them.

Coaches that are just dabbling: These coaches were drawn in by the discount and allure of others making money and/or a fantastic physical transformation. They fade in and out of sharing. They are not very consistent but they do make enough money to cover their supplements so it is worth it for them to try off and on. These coaches are cool but frustrating. It is like a fitness program. Why waste your time busting your buns every day on Insanity and still order a pizza?

I think this video describes the dabbling. Do you really want it, or do you just kind of want it?

Coaches that take it too the moon: These coaches see the opportunity. They understand that if they follow the plan they will succeed. Similar to a fitness program. If you follow the steps provided and associate yourself with other successful people, you will be successful. These people listen to the coach calls, they attend the events, they want to soak up as much as possible. I’ve seen coaches go from brand new to millionaire in 3 years. I’ve seen coaches go from making $5.00 in 6 months to making $7,000 a week in a matter of 3 years. I’ve also seen coaches go from making $20 a week to making $4000 a week in less than 2 years. They are receiving humanitarian awards, changing lives and helping end the trend of obesity. Service to many leads to greatness. By helping others achieve their goals in health and fitness, it is possible to achieve financial and physical success. Of course I love this type of coach the best. Nothing is better than watching someone you know see the light and take it to the moon. To see the brightness switch on in their eyes is a beautiful thing to see. It truly makes me happy.

I became a coach in November 2010. Started to attend a few local events and met some great friends. Several of them are in the video below. Real people making a difference in their own lives and helping others achieve results too. Paying it forward.

Yeah Yeah Heather, You still haven’t explained to me what coaching is. Of course I could post another video but the easiest way for me to explain it is to say that you can do it the way you want to do it. You can sign up to get a discount on superior products like Shakeology and fitness programs. Or you can take it to the moon. It is your journey. It is your life. It is up to you if you want to go for it.

To the people that say they want to lose weight first before they start coaching. NO! Do not wait. P90X takes 90 days to complete. Would you just sit there and keep quiet about it until day 90? No. You would be talking to people about how sore you are, about how much you love it, about how you’ve lost weight and inches. What a shame that you’d be referring them to Beachbody.com instead of your own site. What a shame that they go off to some other coach and don’t have you to support them through their journey.

I’m not in the convincing business. I’m not in sales. I’m not into forcing people to do things they don’t want to do either. I’ve struggled with my weight and self image for most of my life. I’ve finally found a way to keep myself in check. I’ve finally found a way to keep myself motivated. Coaching keeps me accountable and motivated to keep pushing play, to keep challenging myself to take that next step out of my comfort zone.
I challenge you to join our team. Stop wishing it were easier. Wish you were better. Now is the time to take your life to the next step. Take the leap of faith and go for it. What do you have to lose? You already know how to do what you are doing. Try something new.
