Balls O Steel

August 6th 2014
Here it is folks. I struggled for a while with posting this picture. For the last year I've been struggling with things. More travel, more treats, more celebrations and more of everything. I haven't been tracking my food. The pounds kept packing on. I would complete a program and have great results and then fall off the wagon. I would beat myself up over and over about starting over again and again. I was ashamed to post it. I felt like I was a fraud as a coach. How could I claim to know Continue Reading >

Does the Veggetti Work?

May 14th 2014
Here is the answer! YES I just washed the zucchini and started to twist it into the Veggetti. As it went further down I used the safety guard. Found it at Walgreens for $14.99 and it did what It said it would do. Pretty cool. Now I'm going to actually cook it and put sauce on it and see how awesome it is. Continue Reading >

Push Through Fear

May 12th 2014
Yes, this is me jumping off of a 40 foot cliff in Jamaica last summer. I was scared out of my mind. My heart was racing. I made up my mind before I even got there that I was going to do it no matter how scared I was and I said I was going first. I did it and when I jumped I didn't hesitate. Just let my heart race and took the biggest leap of my life. I screamed and grabbed my boobs. I guess I felt like I had to hold onto something. What a rush! I'm not saying go cliff jumping. I'm saying that you Continue Reading >

Are you happy?

April 17th 2014
Are you happy? Are you happy or are you in No Man’s Land? You know the place where you are unhappy but not unhappy enough to do anything about it. I challenge you to start applying the compound effect. Small positive changes every day to get you to your goals. Many people give up too early because they want drastic and immediate results. Know that it does take time. I have an analogy that I use from a friend of mine. He said “It takes one woman 9 months to make a baby. You can’t throw time Continue Reading >

It’s Always Sunshine and Rainbows Right?

April 7th 2014
It’s Always Sunshine and Rainbows Right? Recently we returned from a cruise. We earned the cruise as Beachbody coaches for helping people. Free trip. Yay! The entire ship filled with 3,000 other coaches. Yay! Getting to work out with celebrity trainers every day. Tony Horton, Shaun T, Autumn Calabrese. Yay! Getting pictures with tons of awesome people and hanging out with friends I rarely see. Yay! So, why didn’t I enjoy myself? What is wrong with me? Am I depressed? Am I going through Continue Reading >

Balance Your pH and Stay Well

March 14th 2014
Do you understand pH? The Wikipedia definition of pH is a measure of the acidity or basicity of an aqueous solution. Solutions with a pH less than 7 are said to be acidic and solutions with a pH greater than 7 are basic or alkaline. Pure water has a pH very close to 7. Our blood is slightly basic so keeping ourselves in an alkaline state is better for our blood and our bodies. When you keep your blood in an acidic state your body is a breeding ground for infection and disease. Take a look at Continue Reading >

Icemageddon 2013 Timeline for North Texas

December 10th 2013
Icemageddon 2013 Timeline for North Texas The highs and lows. A story of a North Texas mom. Disclaimer: This is all in good fun. I realize people were impacted a great deal by this storm. Jobs, lives, power outages, marathons cancelled, injuries and more. I'm not making light of that at all. I'm poking fun at the attitudes of the typical parent who has school age children staying home for several days unable to drive to other locations. We love our kids. We love our spouses and we would do Continue Reading >

11 Reasons people prefer working out at home instead of a gym

November 25th 2013
11 Reasons people prefer working out at home instead of a gym First of all let’s set the stage here. I’m not a gym hater. In fact I am a former gym rat. The gym rats know what gym rat is. For those of you who do not know here is the simple definition. The Urban Dictionary definition: gym rat One who spends entirely too much time partaking in muscle building, strength training, cardiovascular, or aerobic activity. Specifically, one who does so at a health club or gym. Often used derogatorily Continue Reading >

The Gift of Your Pain Have you ever tried to numb yourself? Of course you have. We all have. We all numb ourselves in different ways even if we are not trying to numb ourselves. How?
