Insanity Day 20 -Oh yes! I’m still here

July 30th 2011
Insanity Day 20. Yes. I'm still here. I don't make the time to blog as much as I should. People tell me how much my blog helps them. I have a full time job and I coach part time with Team Beachbody. Blogging is toward the bottom of my priorites. I'm working to push it higher and elimniate things like watching The Bachelorette. I am feeling awesome. My calf is a little sore today. Yesterday I was not into the workout. I was tired and just going through the motions. That does happen. I'm real. Continue Reading >

Insanity – Day 9 & 10

July 20th 2011
Back feels much better after a few trips to acupunture. Vertigo is basically gone too. The monthly bill arrived so I'm a little emotional and not in the mood to work out. Instead I push through. As Shaun T says: I'm not trying to hurt you, I'm trying to make you better. Here I am on Day 9 going through the warm up of Pure Cardio Day 10 was this morning. I pretty much popped out of bed. Amazed that I did because I've been so tired lately. Made it through Plyometric Cardio Circuit. Tomorrow, Continue Reading >

Insanity Pure Cardio – Day 5

July 15th 2011
Day 5. My triceps are hurting from the dips from the other day. I can feel my rear end getting tighter. I can feel my abs getting tighter. My shoulders fell stronger and my mood has gone off the charts. Only 5 days in and I'm on fire. I've been emotionally eating for quite some time and finally found a way to set it free. Insanity is helping me release it in a positive way. This week the world lost two wonderful men to cancer. Byron Montgomery and Mike Gibson. Both great people. Losing them as Continue Reading >

Insanity Cardio Recovery – Day 4

July 14th 2011
Day 4 of Insanity and I forgot how much I love Thursdays. Thursday is recovery day. No power jumps, no super cardio. Just nice stretching, yoga, balance, and core work. I must confess that I didn't eat all that great for the first 4 days. I weighed in this morning and gained 1.8 pounds. Yikes! Its like I haven't slowed down since the 4th of July. I keep eating and drinking whatever I want, whenever I want. I'd eat a great breakfast or have Shakeology, decent to healthy lunch and then dinner on would Continue Reading >

Insanity Plyometric Cardio Circuit – Day 2

July 12th 2011
Well here we are. Day 2 of Insanity. I made it through the warm up with ease. As easy as it can be. I was sweating and doing it and pushing myself. I usually have to stop but this time I didn't. I dug deep and made it. My back is still hurting a little but it is getting better. Plyo is one of my favorites. It wasn't the first time I tried Insanity but now it is. It pushing me so hard and I usually end up crying at the end. It helps me leave it all on the floor. If I had a bad thought in my head Continue Reading >

Insanity : Fit Test Day 1

July 11th 2011
My back is still hurting from moving that 800 pound Lightining McQueen bed. The vertigo is almost gone. I picked Day 1 today for several reasons. 1) The last time I completed Insanity from Day 1 to Day 60 was last summer. 2) I have someone I connected with through Beachbody that is starting her Day 1 today. 3) I'm turning 40 in September, (a little more than 60 days) and I wanted to look and feel my best. 4) Finally wanted to follow the meal plan and prove that I could actually do it Continue Reading >

Insanity Begins Again Monday July 11th

July 7th 2011
The last time I completed Insanity from Day 1 to Day 60 was last summer. Almost an entire year has gone by. Back slided a little around summit and put on a few pounds. Time to walk the walk and not just talk the talk. Looking foward to Day 1 again. That is the thing I love most about a Beachbody program. It leaves nothing up in the air. It tells you what to do and when to do it. I'll complete my 60 days about a week before my 40th birthday. The challenge is on. Before pictures and measurements will Continue Reading >

Insanity The Asylum Day 20 while on vacation

May 9th 2011

Absolutely didn’t want to do this workout today. On vacation and Vertical plyo? No way. I did Game Day and OT on Mothers Day and now this? My lease favorite workout. I almost talked myself out of it and then I had to dig deep. I forced myself to do it. The only thing stopping me was mental. I was sore but I could do it.

This is it for videos. I’m on vacation!

Insanity The Asylum Day 16 – Vertical Plyo not a favorite

May 5th 2011
Vertical Plyo again. Yuck. Not my favorite at all. I love the 1 hour Game Day workout more than this 38 minute workout. Maybe it is all of the jumping and how high my heart rate gets. The warm up is a killer. I felt the same way about Plyo when doing Insanity but then it became one of my favorite workouts. It is the one that makes me cry at the end because I can leave it all on the floor. So for now I will resist the love for Vertical Plyo. I will continue to do it as instructed and push through.
