Yesterday we cheered our glasses of water and took our supplements. The Final Countdown, you know the song by Europe, was blasting. As much as we love the results from the reset we are ready to be back to a "normal" life. NO we are NOT going back to eating pizza and drinking wine right away. We are proud of the results and this achievement. Week 3 is awesome. You know you are in the final 7 days and that you can picture yourself focusing on other things besides your meals. I always compare Continue Reading >

Ultimate Reset Week 2 Recap

October 5th 2015
Week 2 is complete. The weekends are the most challenging time. Octoberfest, the beautiful weather and people calling to invite is to sit on a patio drinking margaritas. Recap of week 2 of the Ultimate Reset Watching the scale go down is pretty fun. Sure there were some days where the scale stayed the same or went up a 1/2 pound but that is okay. There is ZERO guilt involved when you are eating good food that is healthy. When you are only putting fresh, whole foods into your body there is no Continue Reading >
The food is not over the top strange. Sure the first time I did the Reset I had no idea what some of the things were. The oddest dinner may be the Root Medley because I had never eaten roasted beets before. Not pictured: The supplements or the Shakeology. We had Shakeology as a snack every day for the first week. Fruits, veggies, brown rice, quinoa, salmon, chicken, hummus, yogurt, oatmeal, eggs and nuts. Prep for week 1:  You are in the kitchen a lot. I recommend prepping the week before. Continue Reading >
Here it is. Day 1. The Ultimate Reset. Mark lost more weight than me. Of course. Men. I'm sure most of this is water weight but still. 1 day of not eating sugar, caffeine and dairy makes a difference quickly. Day 1 food: Multigrain toast, steamed spinach and 2 eggs. Miso soup and microgreen salad. Snack was Shakeology (not pictured) Baked salmon with steamed asparagus and new potatoes.       If you haven't completed the 21 Day Ultimate Reset I will Continue Reading >

Reset week 1. The Pros and Cons

January 13th 2014
Reset week 1. The Pros and Cons For those who have followed me through the 21 day Ultimate Reset before you know some of what to expect. Experiencing the reset is totally different than watching someone going through it. It is kind of like parenthood to me. Everyone tells you how difficult it is but also how rewarding it is too. Everyone tells you how being a parent changes everything but you really don’t know how much it changes everything until you are actually a parent. Going to the grocery Continue Reading >

The Hell Of Taking Before Pictures

January 6th 2014
You've taken before pictures. You know you have. Maybe you didn't call them before pictures at the time. They were just pictures. Today I started a journey to get back the me I love. There are people who say love yourself no matter what size you are. I believe that. I do love myself but I don't love the way I feel right now. I don't like feeling like a busted can of biscuits in my jeans. I don't like doing the pants dance to get my clothes on. I don't like having my towel pop off when I get out of Continue Reading >

Mediterranean Beets with Collard Greens & Millet

August 17th 2013
Mediterranean Roasted Beets with Coconut Collard Greens & Toasted Millet This is one of our favorite recipes from the 21 day Ultimate Reset. Easy to prep, the organic beets are usually less than $3 a bunch and you can eat them cold on a salad or warm. Beets have amazing health properties too. You can google it but one of the main benefits is to the colon and helping to guard against colon cancer. You can serve the beets with anything and even add beef if you want. Beets with collard greens and millet Continue Reading >
