A year in review

December 17th 2011
A year in review The last 12 months have been great. Ups and downs but mostly ups. I was talking to a friend, who is now one of my best friends, and she asked me what we were doing a year ago. In December 2010 I has just signed up to be a Team Beachbody coach and had zero clue what was about to happen in my life. Joined a 90 Days to Diamond group and that is where I met my friend Rhonda. She is like a sister. It is nuts. We are twins separated at birth. We share the same passion for things and Continue Reading >

Time to set goals and take action

November 28th 2011
So here we are. About 30 days remaining in 2011. Did you accomplish some or all of the 2011 goals you set? Did you even set goals? Some people know the old me. They know the Heather that was 40 to 50 pounds overweight. They know the Heather that would get sick several times a year, lie in bed all day on a Sunday and do absolutely nothing. The Heather that rarely set goals. That Heather had all the time in the world to attend parties and travel but she didn’t because she was unhappy, overweight, Continue Reading >

Should You Be a Team Beachbody Coach?

October 28th 2011
I get so many questions from people. What is a Beachbody coach? What does that mean? Do I have to coach people? Should I be a coach even when I’m overweight? How can I coach people when I don’t know anything about fitness? I’m not like you. I’m not motivated. To me there are several different types of coaches. Discount coaches: These coaches are strictly in it for the 25% cost savings. They have zero interest in sharing it with others or growing it as a business. Even if someone asks Continue Reading >

Why Do I Do This To Myself?

October 12th 2011
Why Do I Do This To Myself? The cycle. The vicious cycle of eating poor, drinking alcohol, and not working out. I've heard the phrase suicide by food. I don't like to use that term but sometimes it fits. Why do we slowly kill ourselves with food? Over eating, eating poorly, drinking too much. Most people have a busy life and work some type of job whether it is in or out of the home. Lets play out a typical week. (without kids, working an 8 to 5, M-F job) This could be anyone. Most of this Continue Reading >

You Can’t Afford to NOT drink Shakeology?

September 22nd 2011
The costs. Lets add it up to see if you can afford to NOT drink Shakeology. I’m not a sales person. Never claimed to be and don’t want to be. I simply share what is working for me and those around me. Very similar to recommending a restaurant, a movie, a microwave, a local business or hair stylist. You recommend what you like. You recommend what you want others to enjoy. You recommend what you would use over and over again. You recommend what works for you. The breakdown: Retail Continue Reading >

Insanity Day 40 Something

August 23rd 2011
Insanity, day 40 something. Check. Now to the point of the story. Motivation. How do I stay motivated to workout and stay fit. Coaching. Coaching is key. Have you tried a Beachbody fitness program and loved it? P90X, Insanity, 10 Minute Trainer, Brazil Butt Lift, Slim in 6 or something else? There are so many. How many time have you heard "oh my gosh you look great what are you doing?" You answer "P90X" and then point them to the Beachbody website. You've had your own Beachbody transformation Continue Reading >

Journey vs Destination

August 20th 2011
I'm on day 41 of Insanity. I've had my ups and downs with my nutrtion and set backs with my body. However, that will not stop me from getting to day 60. My dad went to the ER with chest pains. That was a scary day. He is okay now and that is all that matters. At first I became a Beachbody coach to help myself. To keep myself on track. Now I love helping others stay on track and help themselves. Service to many leads to greatness. That is what keeps going through my mind. Service to many leads to Continue Reading >

The Gym vs Beachbody at Home

August 5th 2011
Day 26 of Insanity. Check. Had to get that out of the way. Almost 1/2 way through. Last week I hurt my calf and took it easy. I missed one Insanity workout and went to the gym to use their equipment and sit in the dry sauna. As I sat there sweating I thought of several things. 1) Why am I sitting in a 180 degree room when I can just go outside in the Texas sun and sweat. We are on the 34th consecutive day of over 100 degree temperatures. 2) Why do I choose the gym or Beachbody? What a Continue Reading >

Insanity Day 20 -Oh yes! I’m still here

July 30th 2011
Insanity Day 20. Yes. I'm still here. I don't make the time to blog as much as I should. People tell me how much my blog helps them. I have a full time job and I coach part time with Team Beachbody. Blogging is toward the bottom of my priorites. I'm working to push it higher and elimniate things like watching The Bachelorette. I am feeling awesome. My calf is a little sore today. Yesterday I was not into the workout. I was tired and just going through the motions. That does happen. I'm real. Continue Reading >

Insanity – Day 9 & 10

July 20th 2011
Back feels much better after a few trips to acupunture. Vertigo is basically gone too. The monthly bill arrived so I'm a little emotional and not in the mood to work out. Instead I push through. As Shaun T says: I'm not trying to hurt you, I'm trying to make you better. Here I am on Day 9 going through the warm up of Pure Cardio Day 10 was this morning. I pretty much popped out of bed. Amazed that I did because I've been so tired lately. Made it through Plyometric Cardio Circuit. Tomorrow, Continue Reading >
